Kihelkonna St. Michael’s Church belongs among the oldest churches in Estonia. The building of the church started probably in the middle of the 13th century and ended most likely in the 1270s. The church is rich in very old and rare church property. The wall of the altar dates back to the Renaissance (1591) and the pulpit is among the oldest of its kind in Estonia (1604).
