Where Saastna Peninsula joins the mainland there are two small coastal lagoons − Sauemeri (19.3 ha) and Lake Teorehe (6.8 ha). Sauemeri is for the most part overgrown with reeds. The area between the road and the sea is called Lake Teorehe. Due to livestock grazing, the meadow has low-lying grass cover and serves as an ideal habitat for birds. When water levels are exceptionally low, both lakes dry up.
