The coast of Saxby with limestone pavements and pebbly embankments that reach far into the interior of the island offers pleasure for the eye with the landscape as well as geological scientific sense of discovery. The Ordovician limestone deposit of Vormsi that contains plenty of fossils opens up here. Saxby lighthouse (built in 1864) is open to the public in the summer. It is possible to observe how the sea breaks the beach close to the lighthouse. There are plenty of boulders on the beach that the ice shifts and aligns. Gneissbretsa boulder pieces originating from the Neugrund meteor crater are represented here. The development phases of the flora can be observed on the pebbly embankments.
