The road to the Ingatsi study trail and to the Karuskose rental hut is closed for construction. When visiting the Soomaa National Park use other study- or hiking trails instead, as traffic on the Karuskose road disturbs the construction of the road. We apologize for the inconvenience. 

Nine tourism companies following the principles of sustainable tourism were awarded the sustainable nature tourism quality label.

On World Wetlands Day, February 2nd, the Environmental Board awarded ten Estonian nature tourism businesses from the regions of Matsalu, Soomaa and Lahemaa national parks with international sustainable tourism recognition - European Charter for Sustainable Tourism (

Visiting national parks is well worth your time, even now in the winter. The natural scenery is dressed up in white and, in the magical snowlight, the views are unlike any other time of the year.
Each national park is unique in its nature and cultural heritage.

In the middle of June, three joint courses for young nature conservationists took place in Estonian national parks.
